Vanity Throne Nails

It doesn’t matter if you’re a long-term regular or a newcomer, you’re always welcome to take the throne and for anyone that wants to love their nails a bit more, we also offer courses and educational classes. Founded in 2016, the name Vanity Throne came from the salon first being situated beside one of the main locations for the hit show ‘Game Of Thrones,’ in Rebecca’s home town of Banbridge, Down.

“Vanity Throne Nails is nothing without the people who come and sit on the throne. I genuinely consider all my clients to be close friends and that’s just as important to me as the work being done. Getting your nails done should always be fun and positive, that’s what we do here,” said McParland. This approach has paid off because her work was featured in publications like IMAGE Magazine, Her.ie and Creative Ireland.

Rebecca also had her nail art displayed at the ‘Renailsance’ exhibition in the National Gallery of Ireland where she recreated miniature works of art from some of the world’s most iconic artists. Having impressed the public with her highly innovative and skilled approach to nail art, Rebecca has also appeared on Today FM, BBC, Virgin Media and RTE News to discuss her unique approach to nail art and beauty.

In 2019, with a growing client base that she considers to be close friends, the award-winning technician decided to reignite the Vanity Throne Nails brand by working for herself. Since then, she was nominated again for the IMAGE Beauty of Business Award, this time under her own brand. Rebecca’s approach to nail art and beauty is quite simple - everything needs to be original, incredible, and done in a friendly atmosphere.

In November 2021, Rebecca took home the award for “Best Nail Technician” at the Local Women Magazine “Women in Business Awards”.

In 2021, Vanity Throne Nails featured in RTE’s flagship programme Nationwide and during the show, Rebecca recreated the famous 1889 painting, ‘The Starry Night’ from Vincent Van Gogh. She also talked passionately about nail art and her desire to educate the next generation of nail technicians.

Vanity Throne Nails has continued to expand with Rebecca priding herself on providing the highest quality of manicures, hygiene standards and professionalism whilst delivering fresh, on-trend nail art. Breaking the mould with innovative designs and remarkable artistry will always be the Vanity Throne Nails way. Aside from providing excellent nail care, artistry and treatments, Rebecca is also a certified teacher and provides classes and tutorials to anyone that’s interested in learning.

“Things always happen for a reason”

Rebecca was originally studying silversmithing in college when she suffered third-degree burns and had to undergo a skin graft. After this incident, she decided that she could not complete her course due to the nature of the work and the fear of being around extreme heat. After leaving college, Rebecca decided to do a nail course as a hobby in her spare time until she felt ready to continue her education in jewellery. However, her talent and passion for nails is an enduring love affair! Just as Rebecca thought her dream of becoming a jeweller was gone, life had an unexpected twist that led her into an even better career path.Since then, Vanity Throne Nails continues to go from strength to strength. We’re always looking forward to seeing our clients arrive through those doors and everyone is welcome.

Hope rises like a phoenix, from the ashes of shattered dreams.
